I'll keep this brief, as I hope you will decide wether my guitar lessons are right for you based more on my videos and audio than my words.I am a guitar teacher (acoustic, electric and classical) and a bass teacher (electric and upright). I have diverse musical experience and a continuing desire to improve.
As a guitar teacher I believe that music is for eveyone and that you can never stop learning. I have been giving music lessons for over 10 years and have had success with students of all ages, levels and abilities. I am a CRB checked tutor with a CTLLS (City & Guild's) teaching qualification...
Need a guitarist or bassist? I'm up for pretty much every kind of work and am a perfectionist.Outside of guitar lessons, Im an experienced performer with many gigs under my belt. Im musically open-minded, versatile, a good reader and remain relaxed and confident when under pressure.
I have been transcribing music since I can remember. This has included everything from big band brass scores for my swing big band to Iron Maiden guitar solos and Beatles songs for guitar lessons.I provide accurate and professional looking scores/charts for either your own or other people's music...

About me

Hi, my name is James.As a professional musician, I have a diverse range of musical experience, both live and in the studio. As well as performing and depping regularly with different bands, I am a full time CTLLS (City & Guild's) qualified guitar and bass tutor (CRB checked) with over 10 years of teaching experience.I am confident with both picking music up on the spot and learning set lists at short notice; I have a good ear and solid understanding of musical genres/theory. I am a confident sight-reader (notation) and regularly transcribe/chart out music in advance to save valuable studio and rehearsal time. Wether you require professional music lessons, live entertainment or a skilled musician to provide your band with 'tight and funky' rhythm or 'high-energy rock' guitar, my aim is to always 'play for the band' and never to 'kill the groove' by over-playing.
